Job summary

Androscoggin Bank is seeking a part-time Business Courier based in Lewiston, ME. This role covers 20–24 hours per week, with a guaranteed minimum and benefits. The courier will visit client locations to pick up items and deliver them to the bank, using a provided vehicle.

You will maintain delivery and vehicle logs, handle paperwork, and provide friendly customer service while supporting bank operations in the Central & Mid-Maine market, including Lewiston and Auburn.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One year related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Valid Maine driver’s license with clean record and ability to drive in varied weather and traffic.

Responsibilities

  • Pick-up and deliver items from client locations to bank for processing; maintain logs.
  • Log daily pickups and deliveries, and vehicle logs.
  • Prepare weekly driver reports and timesheets; submit to supervisor promptly.
  • Use phone hands-free device to communicate with bank team for routing and customer service.
  • Provide professional, courteous service and resolve issues for clients.

Androscoggin Bank is excited to be the only Bank in the area offering a key serviceour business clients have requested - a dedicatedBank Courier that visits their place of business to pick up items, and deliver them to the Bank for processing. Because this is a convenience our clients have asked for, they'll be happy to see you arrive! You'll help take care of their banking needs, so THEY can give more focus totheir business.

Our Business Couriers will make visits in a company vehicle to pick-up and drop off small packages throughout our Central & Mid-Maine Maine market, starting and ending their day from Lewiston to Auburn. Your schedule might take you to Bangor, Augusta, Waterville, or Brunswick, depending on the day and your client's needs.

This is a Monday through Friday position, working 4-6 hours each day, for a total of 20-24 hours per week.

Essential Functions:
  1. Responsible for pick-up and delivery of items from client location and transporting them to bank location for processing.Pick-up duties include driving to the clients’ place of business, receiving items from client’s place of business. Securely transports items back to bank office location for processing.
  2. Conducts daily review to see what items are scheduled for pick up that day. All items must be accurately logged when being picked up and delivered to the bank the same day. Maintains pick-up/delivery logs and vehicle logs to document duties performed.
  3. Responsible for all paperwork assigned. Some examples include, but are not limited to, weekly driver reports, item logs and timesheets. All reports are turned in to supervisor in a timely fashion.
  4. Utilizes phone and hands-free cell phone devices, to stay in contact with bank team for re-routing of product and for better customer service.
  5. Ensures quality service is provided during each customer interaction by providing efficient and professional delivery service, answering customer questions, resolving problems or concerns and interacting in a polite and caring manner.
  6. Attends annual driving safety training.
  7. Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner and complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
  8. Performs other projects and duties as assigned by the Treasury Operations Manager.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

One-year related experience and/or training.

Other Qualifications:
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to keep accurate logs and inventory records.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and complete work in a timely manner.
  • Requires a valid Maine Driver’s License with a clean record.
  • Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy packages.
  • Ability to work independently and problem solve.
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to learn banking processing software.

Professional demeanor and the ability to interact with individual and business clients comfortably is critically important.We are looking for folkswho are confident and composed, and will be comfortable workingin public away from thebranch. Reliability and integrity arevery important.

This is a Monday through Friday position, typically working 4-6 hours per day between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., for a total of 20-24 hours per week. While a regular schedule will be established, the specific days, routes, hours, and start/end times may vary based on business needs, client pick-up requirements, route assignments, and coverage for team members' paid time off (PTO) or other absences. Flexibility is important, as schedules may be adjusted with advance notice to ensure excellent service to our clients throughout our service area.
