Job summary

Androscoggin Bank is seeking a Treasury Management and Government Banking support specialist to assist during sales and implementation, serving as a client contact for related products and services. You will train clients as needed and help ensure high levels of satisfaction.

After a training period and satisfactory performance, a hybrid work arrangement can be put into place, with responsibilities spanning setup, maintenance, and client support.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience in Treasury Services, Government Banking support, or related banking role.
  • Ability to work independently and problem solve.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail oriented with high accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks.
  • Proficient with banking processing software.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of product features and benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Input client information in bank software to set up new accounts and support Treasury Management and Government Banking clients.
  • Process maintenance requests for online services (adding users, accounts, mapping files, and ordering scanners).
  • Ensure documentation for various ownership types and businesses is accurate and complete (Beneficial Ownership, CIP, opening docs).
  • Provide ongoing support via inbound/outbound calls to Treasury Management and Government clients.

Job description

Provide support for the Treasury Management and Government Banking department during the sales and implementation process, while serving as a client support contact for Treasury and Government products and services. Ensures we retain high levels of client satisfaction. Provides client training as needed.

After a training period and satisfactory performance, a hybrid work arrangement can be put into place.

  • Utilizes bank software to input client information to set up new accounts, update existing accounts, complete contracts and prepare documents in support of Treasury Management and Government Banking clients.
  • Completes maintenance requests for online services such as: adding users and accounts to online banking, mapping files for positive pay checks and ACH batches, and ordering check scanners.
  • Ensures accuracy of required documentation is obtained and appropriate documents are completed for complex account ownership types and businesses to include Beneficial Ownership, CIP, account opening documents, agreements and other related account opening and maintenance documentation.
  • Provide ongoing support to Treasury Management and Government Banking clients which will include answering inbound calls and initiating outbound calls.
  • Analyze client’s activity and recommends adjustments to current volumes or new products that would benefit the client and the Bank as needed. Thorough knowledge of all programs, products and services required and the ability to recommend benefits and solutions to clients and sales officers.
  • Supports the department with key initiatives including maintaining and implementing divisional operations/audit processes and procedures that will improve client satisfaction as well as drive efficiency and profitability.
  • Participates in operational projects that impact Treasury Management including but not limited to: new, enhanced or modified products, new operational platforms and new sales initiatives.
  • Serves as a liaison with internal departments to identify, prioritize and resolve client servicing issues.
  • Proactively seeks to improve overall operational efficiency through process analysis and leveraging best practices and technology as appropriate.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned by the Treasury Operations Manager.
Requirements
Education and Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Higher education degree recommended.

Other Qualifications
  • 2+ years’ experience required in Treasury Services, Government Banking support, or other Banking/Related role.
  • Ability to work independently and problem solve.
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform detail oriented work with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks.
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to learn banking processing software.
  • Demonstrates strong product knowledge through explaining features and benefits of each product/service.
