CLIENT SERVICE COORDINATOR

This posting will remain open for a minimum of two weeks from the posting date.

Banfield is a pet healthcare field where you will work alongside industry experts to make a difference in the lives of pets and the clients we serve through client education and effective communication. The role is an integral part of the hospital team, coordinating the flow of clients and pets, maximizing the productivity of the veterinary medical team, and ensuring excellent client communication and care.

JOB SUMMARY

The Client Service Coordinator drives the flow of clients and pets through the hospital, maximizes the productivity of the veterinary medical team in terms of clients and pets, ensures good communication with associates and clients, and coordinates care in a friendly and efficient manner, encouraging clients to return and recommend the facility.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
  • Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc.
  • Actively recruit new clients by promoting hospital services and route the flow of clients and pets.
  • Maximize the number of pets seen by the hospital team.
  • Provide professional, efficient and exceptional service at all times.
  • Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans, preventative care, pet health needs, and hospital services.
  • Assist incoming clients by completing documentation, entering pet information, using identification collars, and ensuring prompt service.
  • Assist outgoing clients with instructions, invoices, dispensing prescription items, selling retail products, and scheduling future appointments.
  • Manage finances by maintaining accurate balances and using proper opening and closing procedures.
  • Conduct administrative functions as necessary.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Work at a computer for long periods of time with prolonged standing near pets.
  • Ability to be confident around animals (dogs, cats, birds, reptiles).
  • Position may require more than 40 hours per week, including weekends and evenings.
  • Requires mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability.
  • Noise level moderately high; requires ambulatory skills and ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires good hand‑eye coordination, arm‑hand‑finger dexterity, and visual acuity.
  • Exposure to pets that may bite or scratch, and occasional exposure to anesthesia, radiation, biological hazards and medication.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old to perform duties involving radiography.
  • One year of related customer service experience required; medical background preferred.
PAY RANGE

$17.70 – $22.62 hourly, based on experience, skill level, and location.
