Job summary

Embassy Veterinary Center is hiring a Client Service Representative to join our pet-focused hospital in Lenoir City, TN. You will greet clients, schedule appointments, and help manage client and patient records with accuracy and empathy.

You will handle calls, process invoices and prescriptions under the vet's direction, and communicate clearly with clients and teammates. A veterinary background is a plus; a positive, patient-centered attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a veterinary clinic is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to handle stressful situations.
• Flexible schedule including some weekend and holiday shifts.

Responsibilities

• Receive and place calls to clients for scheduling.
• Maintain client and pet records and referral documentation.
• Provide instructions, information, invoices, and dispense prescription items per veterinarian’s instructions, and schedule future appointments.
• Document medical records and communicate with clients and teammates using hospital systems.
• Manage financial transactions with accuracy and follow cash handling procedures.
• Advocate for pets through client education on preventative care and hospital services.
• Show empathy toward clients and treat pets with compassion.

Embassy Veterinary Center is seeking to expand our team with the addition of a Client Service Representative. Our ideal candidate would possess exceptional customer service skills, including proper phone etiquette and a warm, friendly, and cohesive demeanor with clients and co-workers. Experience in a veterinary clinic is a plus! The ideal candidate will be able to multi-task with detail oriented precision. As a client service representative you will:

• Receive and place calls to clients for the purpose of scheduling.
• Prioritize multiple tasks in a calm, organized manner.
• Maintain proper documentation through client and pet records, i.e. referral documentation, previous medical history received, etc.
• Assist all clients by providing necessary instructions, information, and invoices, dispense prescription items per the veterinarian’s instructions, and schedule all future appointments.
• Utilize hospital computer systems to document medical records and communicate with clients and teammates.
• Manage the financial needs of the hospital by maintaining accurate balances through collection of client transactions, following all cash and credit card handling procedures, and following proper opening and closing procedures.
• Excellent customer service skills and an exceptional level of communication in a professional manner.
• Advocate for pets through client education on preventative care, pet health needs, treatment recommendations and all other hospital services/procedures.
• Maintain a positive attitude in all interactions with clients, pets, and other teammates.
• Demonstrate ability to show empathy toward clients and treat pets with compassion and respect.

Responsibilities / Qualifications:

• Utilizing standard office/business equipment.
• Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures.
• Flexible schedule including some weekend and holiday shifts.
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, good judgment and ability to manage stressful situations.

Job Types: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
