Client Service Coordinator needed for Banfield Pet Hospital in Plymouth, MA!

Summary of Job Purpose and Function

The Client Service Coordinator ("CSC") drives the flow of clients and pets through the hospital, maximizes the productivity of the veterinary medical team, ensures good communication with associates and clients, and coordinates the care of clients and pets in a happy, welcoming, friendly and efficient manner, encouraging clients to return and refer others.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks
  1. Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
  2. Actively recruit new clients by promoting hospital services and directing the flow of clients and pets to ensure superior client care and maximum productivity.
  3. Maximize the number of pets seen by the hospital team through efficient hospital operations to support wellness plan clients.
  4. Provide professional, efficient, and exceptional service at all times, including welcoming clients and pets, ensuring their comfort, and educating them about their pet's health.
  5. Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans, preventative care, pet health needs, and hospital services.
  6. Assist incoming clients with documentation, enter pet information and history, and ensure prompt service.
  7. Assist outgoing clients with instructions, invoices, dispensing prescriptions, retail sales, and scheduling appointments.
  8. Manage finances by maintaining accurate balances and following opening and closing procedures.
  9. Conduct administrative functions as necessary.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
Special Working Conditions
  • Ability to work at a computer for long periods.
  • Comfortable around pets, including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, etc.
  • Willingness to work weekends and evenings, and possibly more than 40 hours per week.
  • Exposure to pets that may bite or scratch, and to anesthesia, radiation, biological hazards, and medications.
Experience, Education, and/or Training
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old to handle radiography and radioactive substances.
  • One year of related customer service experience preferred.
  • Medical background or training in medical terminology is preferred.

The pay range is $16.93 - $21.63 hourly. Compensation is based on experience, skills, education, and location.
