Job summary

Truist in Durham is seeking a Regular full-time Retail Professional to deliver an industry-leading client service experience in person and by phone, expanding client relationships and cross-training on teller duties as needed.

You will advise on consumer lending options, pursue sales targets, and collaborate with internal specialists to meet client goals while adhering to risk controls and policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• 2 years of client sales and service experience.
• Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.
• Must be SAFE compliant within 30 days of employment, including NMLS background check.
• Ability to multi-task under time constraints.
• Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs as required.
• Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnights.

Responsibilities

• Exercises advanced proficiency with routine client maintenance requests and sales functions.
• Contributes to meeting client service and sales targets by developing and retaining relationships.
• Supports team sales by referring more complex needs to internal specialists.
• Participates in the Retail Community Bank Leadership routines.
• Advances knowledge of sales techniques and product knowledge through meetings and training.
• Advises on consumer lending options and takes loan applications.
• Follows internal controls and risk management policies, staying informed of policy changes.
• Ensures a consistent client service experience by engaging clients during transactions and guiding them in-branch.
