Job summary

Rockland Trust is seeking a Relationship Banker to build and deepen client relationships while delivering an energetic banking experience. You will identify financial needs, process transactions, and promote suitable products through a consultative approach and strong customer focus.

You’ll work with a team to expand relationships, support branch operations, and leverage digital channels, adhering to regulatory standards and Rockland Trust’s service-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or 2-4 years in sales/service (retail, hospitality or financial services).
• Must be or become a Notary Public and NMLS certified.
• Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to operate equipment and mobile devices.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Strong sales orientation with ability to balance priorities and adapt.
• Ability to work intuitively and find creative solutions to problems.
• Ability to stand long periods, and lift up to 50 pounds; flexible weekends as needed.
• Complete onboarding and ongoing training within required timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Engage in consultative conversations to build rapport and expand relationships.
• Work independently and with a team to maximize sales opportunities.
• Process traditional customer transactions accurately within guidelines.
• Answer routine and complex questions on accounts, products, and procedures; resolve issues.
• Create touchpoints via daily digital outreach for a cohesive experience.
• Cross-sell deposit and loan products using a needs-based approach.
• Leverage digital channels to service customers and grow relationships.
• Use knowledge of laws and regulations to accept loan applications (incl. Home Equity).
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and colleagues; collaborate with branch manager.
