Qualifications

  • 20+ years of experience in Client Partner, Account Management, BD, Sales Leadership, or Strategic Account Management.
  • Experience serving BFSI clients within IT services, digital engineering, consulting, or System Integration.
  • Experience managing large strategic accounts and multi-million-dollar portfolios.
  • Accounts worth USD 15M–20M for mid-sized accounts and USD 50M+ for large enterprise accounts.
  • Proven ability to grow revenue and lead portfolios; engage executive stakeholders.

About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished and customer-centric Client Partner to lead strategic client relationships within the BFSI sector. This role is responsible for driving business growth, strengthening executive stakeholder relationships, managing large portfolios, and delivering sustainable revenue expansion across key accounts.

The ideal candidate will bring over 20 years of experience in client management, account growth, portfolio leadership, and business development within leading technology services organizations. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to clients while collaborating closely with internal teams to deliver business value, innovation, and long-term strategic outcomes.

This is an onsite client-facing role based in Chicago, requiring regular engagement with senior customer stakeholders and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Client Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, including business and technology leadership teams.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for strategic account planning, governance, and executive engagement.

Business Development & Account Expansion
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling across service lines.
  • Collaborate with delivery, consulting, and solution teams to create compelling value propositions for clients.
  • Lead strategic account planning and growth initiatives to increase wallet share within existing customers.
  • Support pursuit strategies, proposal development, negotiations, and contract discussions.
Executive Stakeholder Engagement
  • Establish strong relationships with C-suite executives and business decision-makers.
  • Facilitate business reviews, governance meetings, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Provide business insights and recommendations that contribute to client success and partnership expansion.
  • Partner with delivery teams to ensure successful execution of client engagements.
  • Monitor account health, customer feedback, commercial performance, and risk management.
  • Support resolution of critical issues while maintaining a positive client experience.
  • Ensure alignment between customer expectations and organizational objectives.
Market & Industry Leadership
  • Maintain a strong understanding of BFSI industry trends, digital transformation initiatives, emerging technologies, and customer priorities.
  • Bring thought leadership and industry insights to clients to support innovation and business growth.
  • Represent the organization professionally within customer and industry forums.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Technology, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
  • 20+ years of experience in Client Partner, Account Management, Business Development, Sales Leadership, or Strategic Account Management roles.
  • Proven experience serving BFSI clients within leading IT Services, Digital Engineering, Consulting, or System Integration organizations.
  • Demonstrated success managing large strategic accounts and multi-million-dollar portfolios.
  • USD 15M - 20M for mid-sized accounts, and/or
  • USD 50M+ for large enterprise accounts.
  • Strong experience in revenue growth, account expansion, customer relationship management, and portfolio leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence executive-level stakeholders.
  • Experience leading complex commercial discussions and strategic account planning.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with global BFSI organizations across banking, insurance, capital markets, or financial services.
  • Background in both account farming and strategic account growth.
  • Experience driving large-scale digital transformation, modernization, data, AI, cloud, or technology-led initiatives.
  • Prior experience working in client-facing onsite roles with enterprise customers.
