Job description

Barry’s, established in West Hollywood in 1998, offers a high-intensity, one-hour workout combining strength and cardio intervals, focusing on different muscle groups daily to achieve results and prevent injuries.

Please note that smoking is prohibited in all indoor areas of Barry’s studios and offices.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead on duty, managing class check-ins, studio opening, and closing following all policies.
  2. Support studio staff management and develop relationships with clients and staff.
  3. Assist with studio marketing strategies, including acquisition tactics, community initiatives, and lead generation.
  4. Manage inventory of fuel bar and retail products.
  5. Support hospitality processes, ensuring team training and development.
  6. Train team members to ensure a consistent client experience aligned with company standards.
  7. Oversee programs like milestones, loyalty, and special events to foster community and retention.
Manage Studio Systems
  1. Utilize Zendesk, Brandbot, and other systems for client management.
  2. Resolve client inquiries promptly and escalate when necessary.
  3. Maintain quality standards, assess client needs, and communicate promotions.
  4. Ensure studio cleanliness and maintenance, including facility walk-throughs.
  5. Oversee retail and Fuel Bar services, merchandising, and sales opportunities.
Company Culture Responsibilities
  1. Uphold Barry’s community and culture standards.
  2. Represent the brand within the studio and broader fitness community.
  3. Participate in community engagement with regional teams.
Required Experience
  1. Strong customer service skills.
  2. Availability for 5 shifts including weekends and holidays.
  3. Outgoing, friendly personality with enthusiasm for fitness.
  4. Empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills.
  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  6. Professional appearance and team-oriented attitude.
  7. Must be at least 18 years old.
Pay Range

USD 21 - 23 per hour (Wicker Park)
