Position Purpose

The Regional Director of Operations (RDO) oversees all operational activities for assigned practices, including P&L management, productivity, process improvement, and team engagement. The RDO acts as a critical link between individual practices and Heartland's broader operations, with a primary goal of improving veterinarians' lives. The ideal candidate will be based in Louisiana. This is a full-time remote role.

Essential Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leadership to improve processes, manage costs, and implement efficiencies across practices.
• Build strong relationships with practice teams, preserving local identity and culture while providing operational support.
• Manage P&L, develop strategies to meet financial targets, and motivate teams.
• Support growth initiatives and integration of new practices.
• Evaluate and coach practice managers for performance and development.
• Enhance team productivity, collaboration, and engagement through coaching and tools.
• Develop strategies to improve veterinarians' experiences and practice success.
• Communicate operational messages effectively across the organization.

Requirements/Qualifications

• 3+ years in multi-site operations management
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
• Experience in veterinary, medical/dental, or physician-focused multi-site industries
• Proven team management success
• Experience with P&L and budget management
• Willingness to travel up to 75%
