Job summary

RBC in Minneapolis seeks an Operations Specialist I for the New Accounts team within Client Onboarding. You will support research, issue resolution, and information requests, partnering across departments to ensure accurate processing and timely responses.

You will analyze reports, handle escalations, and train junior staff while maintaining strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. A strong customer-service mindset and solid MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree or equivalent with 3 years of related experience
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Passion for providing solution-focused customer service via phone and email
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technology and support escalation resolution
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with confidentiality
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access
• Willingness to collaborate with various teams and learn new systems

Responsibilities

• Liaise and provide customer service support for research, problem resolution, or information requests
• Address escalated questions independently following procedures
• Execute daily department oversight to validate system processes
• Run and analyze reports to resolve exceptions with regulatory and firm policy compliance
• Suggest process changes and system modifications; participate in testing/implementation of new systems
• Provide accurate analysis and processing support for complex/exception-based tasks
• Train and mentor less-experienced team members
