Job summary

Alcott HR is seeking a Client Implementation Specialist who oversees the end-to-end onboarding of new clients across HR, payroll, benefits, and compliance services. You will serve as the primary touchpoint, gather requirements, and customize the HRIS to fit each client’s processes.

You will also manage offboarding activities when a service ends, coordinating final payroll, benefits termination, and data retention.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of client-facing implementation or onboarding experience.
• Strong knowledge of payroll fundamentals, including tax withholding and multi-state payroll.
• Experience with HRIS and payroll platforms such as isolved, ADP, UKG, Paylocity, or similar systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders and internal teams.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling sensitive client data.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data reconciliation.
• Ability to manage multiple implementations and offboarding projects with deadlines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and third-party administrators.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for clients throughout the implementation process.
• Conduct discovery meetings to gather and understand client requirements.
• Develop and execute detailed implementation plans with timelines and milestones.
• Customize the HRIS platform to align with client business processes.
• Oversee accurate and complete data migration.
• Coordinate integration with third-party applications as needed.
• Monitor implementation progress and adjust plans to address issues or changes.
• Train clients on self-service portals, timekeeping, and reporting tools.
• Test and troubleshoot system configurations and functionality.
• Assist with offboarding activities, including final payroll and benefits termination.
• Ensure COBRA notification and benefits continuation during offboarding.
• Finalize client setups with a clean transition packet.
