Job summary

Standish Management, LLC is seeking a client services professional to join its rapidly growing fund administration team. The Fund Controller will help onboard new clients to Standish’s fund accounting group, and will work with the Manager on day-to-day onboarding tasks, deliverables, and communications.

You will develop a thorough understanding of client fund structures, oversee onboarding activities, prepare capital calls and LP communications, and assist with investor data implementations in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting/economics required or similar.
• Experience in private equity/private markets preferred.
• 3–4+ years in public accounting or equivalent.
• Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel.
• Familiarity with fund accounting systems like Allvue/eFront.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day client onboarding for fund accounting clients.
• Prepare and review client deliverables and communications.
• Assist onboarding of investor data in software systems.
• Maintain project status in Standish PM system.

Job description

Exciting opportunity for a client services professional to join a rapidly growing fund administration firm! The Fund Controller role plays a key role in helping to onboard new clients to Standish’s fund accounting group. In conjunction with the Manager, the Fund Controller is responsible for managing the day to day operations of the client onboarding process, which includes preparation of client deliverables and communications.

Essential Functions

• Develop a thorough understanding of the client’s Fund structure and reporting (ie. blockers, splitters, AIVs)
• Supervision of gathering and organizing client onboarding
• Preparation and/or review of capital calls, LP communication documents, and other client deliverables
• Assist with onboarding client investor information in software systems
• Assist with historical data implementation and review
• Maintain status of projects in Standish’s project management system
• Collaborate with the Manager to develop and implement best practices
• Manage ongoing systems support for the firm

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required (Finance/Accounting/Economics concentration preferred)
• Previous Private Equity/VC experience and knowledge of Partnership Accounting
• Minimum 3-4 years of public accounting experience or equivalent
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word & Outlook
• Familiarity with accounting reporting systems (Allvue, eFront, etc.)
• Attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Able to multi- task
• Ability to work in a team and individually
• Strong organizational skills and work ethic
• Adept using web-based data entry databases

Compensation Annually (varies by location)

• Seattle: $80,000+
• San Francisco: $85,000+
• Walnut Creek: $85,000+
• Los Angeles: $80,000+
• Denver: $75,000+
• Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience and qualifications.
