Job summary

Standish Management, LLC is seeking a Fund Controller to lead client onboarding for our expanding fund accounting team. You will work with the Manager to manage day-to-day onboarding operations, producing client deliverables and communications.

The role requires PE/VC awareness, strong detail orientation, and the ability to collaborate across teams to implement best practices. A Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics and 3–4 years public accounting experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required (Finance/Accounting/Economics concentration preferred)
• Previous Private Equity/VC experience and knowledge of Partnership Accounting
• Minimum 3-4 years of public accounting experience or equivalent
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word & Outlook
• Familiarity with accounting reporting systems (Allvue, eFront, etc.)
• Adept using web-based data entry databases

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of client Fund structure and reporting (blockers, splitters, AIVs)
• Supervision of gathering and organizing client onboarding
• Preparation/review of capital calls, LP communications, and other deliverables
• Assist with onboarding client investor information in software systems
• Assist with historical data implementation and review
• Maintain status of projects in Standish’s project management system
• Collaborate with Manager to develop and implement best practices
• Manage ongoing systems support for the firm

Exciting opportunity for a client services professional to join a rapidly growing fund administration firm! The Fund Controller role plays a key role in helping to onboard new clients to Standish’s fund accounting group. In conjunction with the Manager, the Fund Controller is responsible for managing the day to day operations of the client onboarding process, which includes preparation of client deliverables and communications.

• Develop a thorough understanding of the client’s Fund structure and reporting (ie. blockers, splitters, AIVs)
• Supervision of gathering and organizing client onboarding

Compensation Annually (varies by location):

• Chicago: $85,000+
• Boston: $90,000+
• Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience and qualifications.
