Job summary

Technology Lab in Nashville is seeking a Client Onboarding Engineer to own the end-to-end onboarding experience from welcome to service handover, after an initial assessment by the engineering team. You will document environments, coordinate with providers, train end users, and act as the escalation bridge during go-live.

Travel to client sites may be required; you will lead on-site delivery, ensure proper handover to the service desk, and maintain clear, actionable documentation for ongoing

Qualifications

• 3+ years in technical support, service desk, or IT project delivery with hands-on capability.
• Experience with SMB or K-12 environments: networking, Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace identity, endpoint management, security basics.
• Proficient in documenting and communicating technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Willingness to travel for on-site client engagements.
• Ability to lead client-facing meetings and manage scope boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Own each client onboarding end-to-end: welcome call through service handover.
• Set and hold scope expectations with the client from day one.
• Track and manage external dependencies and credential handovers.
• Run on-site and remote discovery of the client's environment and workflows.
• Build real-time environment documentation for technicians under pressure.
• Coordinate with outgoing IT providers to ensure continuity.
• Extend the initial assessment into day-to-day operations and end-user workflows.
• Deliver assessments to the architecture team for roadmapping.
• Plan and execute on-site engagements and manage schedules.
• Direct on-site teams and verify devices are enrolled before leaving.
• Lead service desk handover briefings and end-user training.
