Job summary

Pivotal Talent Search is seeking a Client Manager, Tax and Accounting to lead client relationships and oversee delivery of tax, accounting, and bookkeeping services for a portfolio of professional services businesses. You’ll mentor Senior Accountants and Bookkeepers and collaborate on tax and accounting projects.

Responsibilities include managing client meetings, reviewing tax returns, and guiding QuickBooks setup and maintenance.

Qualifications

• CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, taxation, or finance.
• 5–7 years of experience reviewing tax returns, financials, and accounting for professional services businesses.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for a portfolio of professional services clients.
• Lead client meetings (in-person and virtual) to review financials, tax positions, and planning opportunities.
• Review and finalize tax returns (1040 and entity) for business-owner clients.
• Oversee preparation of annual financial and practice reports and overhead/fee analyses.
• Mentor Senior Accountants and Bookkeepers; guide complex client issues.
