Job summary

Our Client is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead tax engagements in a public accounting setting. The role emphasizes client service, staff mentorship, and proactive tax planning to create value for diverse clients.

Responsibilities include reviewing multi-entity returns, mentoring teams, and identifying opportunities for additional services while maintaining quality, budgets, and deadlines. Travel to client sites is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; MST preferred
• CPA license required
• 5+ years of experience in public accounting, preferably at a mid-market firm, including prior manager level experience
• Entrepreneurial mindset and passion for client service
• Willingness to travel to client and office locations on a daily basis

Responsibilities

• Review tax returns for Partnerships (1065), S-Corps (1120), C-Corps (1120) and Individuals (1040) and other assignments
• Mentor staff and seniors during engagements
• Provide consulting and tax-saving strategies; research tax issues
• Identify opportunities to provide additional services and proactive client planning
• Learn about clients' industries and needs to advise them effectively
• Schedule and staff engagements to improve realization and utilization
• Build a referral network with bankers and other professionals
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by clients
