Job summary

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is seeking a Client Manager in the Business Insurance department. The role involves handling new and renewal business, preparing submissions and proposals, and ensuring accurate policy issuance with a client-first approach.

The position requires 3–5 years in underwriting, rating and billing or related insurance experience, plus 1–2 years in customer service for commercial lines. Hybrid work arrangements are available.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' underwriting, rating and billing experience or equivalent insurance experience.
• 1–2 years' customer service experience with commercial lines.

Responsibilities

• Handle new and renewal business for a large volume of complex accounts.
• Prepare submissions, proposals and bind coverage with service team.
• Check and correct policies; respond promptly to client requests and questions.
• Demonstrate knowledge of insurance products, coverage options and risk management principles.
• Collaborate with producers, unit manager and client executives to ensure client satisfaction.

A day in the life.

As our Client Manager in our Business Insurance Department, you will be a member of a 5-7 person unit team providing timely and quality handling of new business, renewal business and customer service needs for a large volume of complex accounts. You will work together with the service team, including Producer, Unit Manager, Client Executive, and Client Administrator to prepare and market submissions, prepare proposals, bind coverage, and check/correct policies, while also responding promptly to all client requests. You will demonstrate knowledge of insurance products, coverage options, and risk management principles. You will consistently strive to make a positive contribution to customer satisfaction and model a superior commitment to client service. This position requires in-person interaction with in-office service teams, producers, and clients while also allowing for hybrid flexibility when needed. The ideal candidate will display a high degree of professionalism and commitment to teamwork, customer service, and collaboration in line with our organizational mission and values to drive our strategic initiatives and achieve business objectives.

• High School diploma or general education degree
• 3-5 years' experience in underwriting, rating and billing or prior insurance experience at an agency or related company
• 1-2 years' experience providing customer service to commercial lines customers.
