Job summary

Simply Solar is seeking a Solar Project Manager in Petaluma, CA to drive solar and energy storage projects from kickoff to completion. You will be the primary client contact and coordinate across engineering, operations, and procurement to ensure timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.

Strong communication with trades and internal teams is essential for a smooth project flow. The ideal candidate has PV/energy storage experience, reads blueprints, and explains technical concepts

Qualifications

• Prior PV or related experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• Ability to read blueprints and single-line diagrams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and time management.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with clients, contractors, and internal departments regarding project specifics and system design, including implementing proposed solutions and tracking estimated timeframes.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
• Field client issues, elevate to appropriate teams if needed, and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
• Articulate technical concepts, product specifications, and design criteria to clients and external stakeholders.
• Manage our new home pipeline and coordinate with general contractors regarding build status.
• Document project specifics and updates in our project management software.
• Track milestones and expedite projects per required benchmarks.
• Provide outstanding customer service and effectively manage client expectations.
