Job summary

Simply Solar in California is seeking a Project Manager to guide solar and energy storage projects from inception to completion. You will be the primary client contact and bridge across teams to ensure installations run smoothly and benchmarks are met.

The role blends technical problem solving with strong customer service, requiring fluency with industry terminology and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to tradespeople.

• Communicate with clients, contractors, and internal departments regarding project specifics and system design, including implementing proposed solutions and tracking estimated timeframes.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
• Field client issues, elevate to appropriate teams if needed, and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
• Articulate technical concepts, product specifications, and design criteria to clients and external stakeholders.
• Manage our new home pipeline and coordinate with general contractors regarding build status.
• Document project specifics and updates in our project management softwareTrack milestones and expedite projects per required benchmarks.
• Provide outstanding customer service and effectively manage client expectations.

What you'll be doing

Our Project Managers are the driving force behind our solar and energy storage projects, steering them from day one through completion. You'll be the client's go-to contact and the connective tissue across teams — ensuring installations run smoothly, benchmarks are met, and every customer walks away impressed.

Key Duties:

• Communicate with clients, contractors, and internal departments regarding project specifics and system design, including implementing proposed solutions and tracking estimated timeframes
• Ensure projects are completed on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency
• Field client issues, elevate to appropriate teams if needed, and follow up to ensure timely resolution

About you

The ideal candidate has prior PV or related experience and can move fluidly between technical problem-solving and strong customer service. They know the solar industry well, think analytically, and don't miss the details. Just as important, they can explain complex work in plain terms and speak the same language as the tradespeople they work alongside.

Qualifications:

• Prior industry experience required
• Energy storage system experience a plus
• General construction knowledge a plus
• Ability to read blueprints and single-line diagrams
• Strong technical aptitude, critical thinking skills, and ability to navigate industry-specific terminology
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including developing business relationships with internal and external parties
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a larger team
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office and GSuite
• Ability to learn quickly and develop additional industry knowledge
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
