First Mid Bancshares, Inc. is seeking a customer-focused banking professional to join our team as a Universal Banker. You will handle teller transactions, open accounts, and guide customers through banking products with a focus on service quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 2+ years' experience in a sales- and goal-based environment.
• 1+ year banking and/or consumer lending experience.
• Successfully completes required compliance and First Mid training curriculum to be proficient in the account opening process.

Responsibilities

• Create a quality service experience by ensuring timely resolution to customer needs and overall customer satisfaction.
• Abides by company service standards, greeting customers and making them feel welcome to First Mid Bank & Trust.
• Service customers by processing deposits, withdrawals, payments, check cashing, cashier’s checks and other transactions accurately within policy.
• Obtain management approval for transactions outside authorized limits and escalate suspicious activity as needed.
• Open personal and commercial customer accounts and related deposit products (IRA, Trust, Business, POA, Estate, etc.).
• Proactively improve processes to enhance the customer experience and communicate ideas to branch management.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers and business partners.
