Job summary

Trustmark Corporation is seeking a Relationship Banker in Fairhope, AL. You will identify customer needs, refer appropriate products, and deepen relationships through proactive sales and service while handling deposits, loans and other banking transactions.

Qualifications

• 2 years of face-to-face customer service or retail sales experience
• Able to learn Trustmark consumer and/or mortgage lending guidelines and process loans within 2 years
• Able to register with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS)
• Able to use basic math and handle routine transactions
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
• Meet sales goals in a retail environment

Responsibilities

• Identify customer needs and referrals through proactive sales/service efforts
• Service, sell, and cross-sell deposit accounts, loan products, insurance, cash management, etc.
• Deliver exceptional customer experience following Trustmark service standards
• Safeguard assets and process transactions accurately (deposits, withdrawals, wires, loan payments)
• Balance cash drawer daily and ensure proper documentation
• Achieve quarterly sales and referral goals while providing excellent service
• Make outreach calls to customers and prospects
• Comply with bank policies and performance standards
• Coach and mentor Relationship Bankers and Tellers
• Review/approve transactions including night drop, ATM deposits, money orders
• Handle cash shipment and vault management for a branch
• Originate consumer loans
• Perform additional duties as assigned
