Job summary

PointB seeks a Software Engineer Manager to join our consultancy to design, architect, and deliver custom software solutions for clients. You will lead teams, guide clients through the full implementation lifecycle, and ensure architecture and coding best practices.

You will engage with business leaders, translate needs into technical solutions, and oversee delivery across multiple projects with a focus on scalable, maintainable software and strong collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience delivering software solutions for business users across the SDLC.
• Proven experience architecting software solutions and leading technical teams.
• Strong ability to engage with business leaders and translate problems into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Proven experience developing software products/solutions in Python for backend and React/Next.js/Node.js for frontend.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (SQL, NoSQL).
• Experience with APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Experience with Agile, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients to understand business problems and define technology solutions.
• Develop solution architecture that is feasible, aligned with business needs, and modular.
• Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Design software architecture including structure, components, interactions, and guiding principles.
• Lead development teams in implementing software solutions and ensuring best practices.
• Provide technical direction, oversight, and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead client stakeholders and project teams through the implementation process.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, managing expectations, risks, and dependencies.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and recommend key decisions.
