Job summary

Cognex Corporation is seeking a Project Manager with external customer-facing experience to drive initiatives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You will interact with customers, plan resources, manage schedules, assess risks, and deliver Cognex solutions that meet quality, delivery, and service standards.

You will collaborate across teams, maintain relationships pre- and post-sale, and ensure proper documentation, scope control, and effective communication throughout the project

Qualifications

• Experience with PMI standards and project management processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication and customer relationship skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturability and automation tech for industrial products.
• Ability to motivate and influence internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent time management and organization for multiple projects.
• Understanding of data analysis, cost estimation, and profitability.
• Able to plan complex schedules and manage scope creep.
• Strong decision making and problem solving to mitigate risks.
• Knowledge of business processes, order processing, and basic project finance.
• Proficient with Microsoft Project and similar tools.
• Able to learn new technology and markets quickly.

Responsibilities

• Actively plan, organize, and align resources, internal and external, to win and execute against the project schedule.
• Maintain and develop effective relationship with customers pre- and post-sale.
• Develop project schedules and track progress against milestones with timely status communications to stakeholders.
• Identify, communicate, and manage scope changes to ensure customer acceptance.
• Manage project documentation through the lifecycle and hand off to service or customer.
