Job summary

Cognex is seeking a Project Manager with external customer facing experience to lead resources on Cognex integrated solutions. You will assess risks during pre-sales and deliver outcomes that meet customer expectations and company profitability.

You will plan schedules, manage documentation, and maintain relationships with customers pre- and post-sale. Travel 20-50% is required; on-site work in Albuquerque, NM may be expected.

Qualifications

• BA degree in a technical discipline (preferred) or relevant equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years' experience as a project manager within the service high-tech industry or related field.
• Ability to be on-call and respond to customer emergencies; may work evenings/weekends.
• Travel availability 20-50% of the time.
• Must possess English language proficiency for the role.
• PM certifications such as PMP/CSCP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively plan, organize, and align internal and external resources to execute the project schedule.
• Maintain and develop effective relationships with customers pre- and post-sale.
• Develop project schedules and track progress against milestones; communicate status to stakeholders.
• Identify, create, and track scope; communicate changes to ensure customer acceptance.
• Manage all project documentation through the lifecycle and hand off to service or customer teams.
