Job summary

Tusker, a Midwestern-rooted IT services provider, seeks a results-driven Project Manager to lead client-facing IT projects within our Managed and Professional Services organization.

You will own projects end-to-end, drive planning, execution, and delivery, coordinate cross-functional teams and vendors, manage risks, and ensure we meet client goals, with a focus on on-time, on-budget results and seamless onboarding into managed services.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience managing client-facing IT projects within an MSP, consulting, or professional services environment.
• Demonstrated success owning projects end-to-end with direct accountability for delivery outcomes and client satisfaction.
• Experience supporting mid-market and enterprise clients preferred.
• PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification preferred.
• Familiarity with cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and managed services solutions.
• Working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid project delivery methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead client-facing IT projects from kickoff through successful delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned to business goals.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships and guiding stakeholders through key decisions.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and milestones to ensure successful outcomes.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and vendor partners to drive execution and keep projects moving forward.
• Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and scope changes while maintaining project momentum and accountability.
• Facilitate project governance through status reporting, issue resolution, and change management processes.
• Oversee client onboarding and the seamless transition of completed projects into managed services support.
• Ensure deliverables meet contractual commitments, quality standards, and client expectations.
• Maintain accurate project data to support forecasting, resource planning, utilization, and portfolio reporting.
• Champion continuous improvement by contributing to project management best practices, tools, and delivery methodologies.
