Job summary

Stantec is seeking a mid-level Interior Design Project Manager for our Houston office. You will lead cross-disciplinary teams across interior design and architecture, ensuring projects meet schedule, budget, and client expectations.

The role emphasizes client-facing leadership, team mentorship, and collaboration with a broad market sector footprint. Strong communication and design leadership are essential for success in this client-focused environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Interior Design or related field.
Licensed or pursuing Interior Design Licensure is required.
Portfolio required to demonstrate project experience.
8+ years of experience preferred in interior design/architecture projects.

Responsibilities

Develop strong client relationships and coordinate with consultants, team members and clients.
Act as single point of contact with the client, managing expectations and experience.
Support business development through RFP responses, presentations, networking, and articles.
Develop proposals, fees, and Owner/Consultant agreements.
Forecast and organize project team for design, development, production, and delivery.
Monitor budgets, schedules, and project scope to ensure quality delivery.
Lead and mentor project team members and review invoices accordingly.
Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client protocols.
