Job summary

Stantec’s Houston office is seeking a Mid-Level Technical Interior Designer to translate client needs into cohesive interior design solutions. You will lead technical development and documentation, including space planning, code review, interior architecture, and coordination with all disciplines.

You will produce 2D/3D drawings, manage construction documents, and present ideas with confidence while considering feedback.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field required.
• Licensure preferred or pursuing Interior Design Licensure.
• Portfolio and sample drawings required.
• Minimum of 5 years of interior design experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all project phases from concept to construction administration.
• Collaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, vendors to meet objectives.
• Produce design and construction drawings.
• Proficient in BIM.
• Lead the project delivery team to meet the client’s schedule.
• Advocate for design excellence with sustainable practices.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary work with consultants and vendors.
• Investigate processes and technology to improve efficiency.
• Follow established standards and guidelines.
• Comply with professional ethical standards.
