Job summary

Cortavo, Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer who excels in client-facing environments with strong networking and end-user support skills. You will operate in a hybrid field role, delivering onsite and remote assistance, and collaborating with internal teams to close tickets and improve documentation.

The position requires travel to client sites, occasional overnight deployments, and a focus on professionalism, communication, and accountability in a fast-paced managed services setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of IT support, field services, or desktop support experience.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• Willing to travel regionally on short notice, including multi-day trips.
• Associate’s degree in progress.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts (Wi‑Fi, VLANs, DHCP/DNS, VPN, firewall basics).
• Proficiency in Windows 11, Office 365, Teams, and imaging tools.
• Excellent documentation and time-entry discipline.
• Strong communication and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver onsite and remote support for Cortavo clients and end users.
• Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot workstations, laptops, printers, and networking equipment.
• Act as the technical face of Cortavo, building trust through professionalism and accountability.
• Maintain detailed ticket documentation with timekeeping and notes.
• Support Office 365, Windows 11, MacOS, VPNs, and basic server administration.
• Image and deploy devices for client onboarding and refreshes.
• Conduct new user orientation and training on equipment and access.
• Maintain clean workspace setups and proper cable management.
• Travel on short notice and stay overnight as needed.
• Track inventory in vehicles and field closets; assist with RMAs.
• Write knowledge base articles and collaborate across teams on escalations.
