Job summary

Summation is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer in Bellevue, WA to own client deployments from discovery to production.

You will architect data infrastructure, build scalable pipelines, and translate enterprise needs into platform features, while unblocking deployments and guiding client-facing priorities. This role requires strong coding, data modeling, and communication skills, with opportunities to shape product innovation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in software engineering, data engineering, solutions architecture, or technical consulting.
• Proven ability to write production-grade code (Python/Java) and dive into code to resolve issues.
• Deep familiarity with relational schemas and complex, performant SQL.
• Hands-on experience with data pipelines, analytics, or BI systems.
• Strong communication and ownership of complex projects with external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of client deployments from scoping to go-live.
• Architect and build scalable data infrastructure and optimized data models.
• Unblock deployments by addressing blockers and coordinating with stakeholders.
• Translate complex business requirements into platform features and engineering priorities.
• Develop bespoke solutions and contribute to product innovation with field experience.
