Job summary

Convr is seeking a Forward Deployed Software Engineer to blend software craft with product strategy and customer-facing consultancy. You will embed with strategic clients, driving core feature development while translating needs into scalable platform capabilities.

You’ll own complex, data-heavy UI/UX with Next.js, Tailwind, and type-safe APIs, while mentoring peers and shaping engineering standards. Travel up to 20% to client sites is expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience in full-stack or frontend development, specifically within SaaS products or startup environments.
• Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, Java, or C++.
• Experience with Next.js App Router (server components, layouts, streaming, caching).
• Experience with tRPC or equivalent type-safe API frameworks.
• Experience with Tailwind and component libraries (shadcn/ui, Mantine, etc.).
• Ability to design scalable frontend systems and strong focus on performance and accessibility.
• Excellent communication and autonomous, consultant-like collaboration with customers.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of new features in our core SaaS product.
• Work across the stack from database queries to UI/UX improvements.
• Architect production-ready integrations and workflows; lead workshops with stakeholders.
• Write high-quality, maintainable TypeScript/JavaScript code with React/Next.js patterns.
• Mentor teammates and promote engineering best practices across the team.
• Contribute to CI/CD, testing, and performance monitoring for deployments.
