Job summary

KBF is seeking a Controller for the Managed Accounting Services team in Denver, CO. You will lead monthly closes, record revenues, and analyze cost accounting while maintaining client financial records across various industries.

This management-level role reports to the Director of Managed Accounting Services and supervises 15–25 client engagements, with a hybrid schedule in Denver (minimum three days in office).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA license strongly preferred.
• Previous work experience as a Controller or similar role.
• In-depth working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Ability to learn multiple accounting systems and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close process for multiple clients, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Maintain client books and record revenue and cost accounting accurately.
• Review team member work and provide constructive feedback.
• Lead process improvements and KPI/dashboard enhancements.
• Collaborate with Managed Accounting Services and Tax teams on budgets and technical questions.
