Job summary

Carter Mackenzie International, partnered with a Denver-based distributor, seeks an Accounting Manager to lead a 4–5 person team and report to the Controller. You will work with Sales, Operations and executives to strengthen the accounting function and foster ownership-driven culture.

Responsibilities include month-end close, reconciliations, SOX controls, forecasting, contract review, and presenting financials to leadership. Hybrid work from South Denver; base $110k–$120k with 30% bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5+ years accounting/finance experience, including 1+ year managing staff.
• CPA or CPA-eligible preferred; strong US GAAP knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead and review month-end close, reconciliations, and SOX controls.
• Develop a 4–5 person accounting team and mentor staff.
• Support forecasting and reporting with Sales, Merchandising, and Operations.
• Review contracts and ensure timely maintenance and interpretation.
• Present financials to VPs and executive leadership; drive ownership culture.
