Job summary

Addepar, a global data and AI platform, seeks an Applied AI Engineer to build agentic systems for strategic clients. You’ll start by understanding a client’s world, prototype quickly, and partner with core teams to ship production-ready capabilities.

You design LLM integrations, ensure reliable performance, and iterate based on client feedback. Travel up to 15% and occasional after-hours work may be required to accommodate time zones.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python is required.
• Experience with LLM APIs including function calling.
• Comfort with SQL for data exploration.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools.
• BS/MS in CS, Math, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Build AI-powered agents end-to-end for client projects.
• Design LLM integrations, prompts, function calling, and outputs.
• Define evaluation criteria and test AI systems.
• Work with clients to validate AI behavior and iterate.
• Collaborate with engineering to generalize client work into product features.
• Contribute to shared AI infrastructure.
• Monitor production AI systems for reliability and cost.
