Job summary

Iowa State University’s Lloyd Veterinary Medical Center in Ames seeks a Manager of Customer Relations to lead daily operations, supervise staff, and ensure top-tier client experiences.

You’ll recruit and develop Veterinary Teaching Hospital Assistants, coordinate scheduling, partner with clinicians and leadership, and resolve client concerns to maintain smooth hospital performance. This role is on-site with responsibilities across multiple departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 5 years of related experience.
• Experience supervising staff and coordinating teams.
• Experience in a high-volume, customer-focused environment such as a teaching hospital.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule, and support Veterinary Teaching Hospital Assistant teams to ensure staffing coverage.
• Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate staff, including onboarding, performance management, and ongoing development.
• Partner with hospital leadership, clinicians, faculty, and staff to support daily operations, communication, and service delivery.
• Oversee hospital scheduling processes and systems to support efficient coordination across service areas.
• Address and resolve client concerns, serving as a liaison between clients, clinicians, and staff to support a high quality service experience.
