Job summary

PetVet Care Centers’ Des Moines Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Hospital Manager to lead hospital operations, drive revenue, and manage costs while ensuring high-quality patient care and outstanding customer service.

The role collaborates with the Veterinarian, supervises hospital support staff, and maintains a culture of care. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a career-motivating environment in Des Moines, WA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, health science or related field preferred.
• Five years of direct office management experience, including at least two years of supervisory experience.
• May consider an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.
• Ability to provide customer service in a courteous, prompt, and efficient manner.
• Computer proficiency in using Microsoft Office products and applicable software.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff within hospital support departments; achieves and maintains labor goals.
• Hires and trains office and technical clinic staff; handles onboarding paperwork.
• Orients and trains new clinic staff to the hospital and duties.
• Reviews performance of direct reports and provides feedback; discusses with Regional Manager.
• Documents and reports accidents; files appropriate reports.
• Manages schedules for staff and coordinates the DVM.
• Monitors budgets, purchases equipment and supplies, and oversees maintenance.
• Oversees local accounting functions and daily financial information.
