Job summary

SGS, a world-leading testing, inspection and certification company, seeks a client liaison with laboratory experience to support client services and technical operations. You will resolve client issues, manage communications, and ensure sample submission documentation is accurate.

The role requires a 4-year degree in Food Science or Microbiology or equivalent experience, and proficiency with LIMS, MS Word/Excel, and client portals.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Food Science, Microbiology or closely related field; Alternatively, equivalent work experience preferred
• High school Diploma or GED Required
• Effective problem prevention and problem-solving skills Required
• Written and verbal communication skills necessary to cross multiple disciplines Required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel Required
• Proficiency with LIMS and Client Portal systems Required
• Ability to interact with clients, affiliates, and employees effectively while maintaining a professional and pleasant work approach even under stressful conditions Required
• 1+ years of laboratory experience Required

Responsibilities

• Provide quality and timely response to internal and external client inquiries and requests
• Communicate results problems and discrepancies to clients and follow issue through to a satisfactory conclusion
• Track and trend client data as required
• Identify client concerns, complaints, and trends and recommend changes to accommodate client needs
• Set up new client accounts in LIMS and create required documents for sample submission for new clients
• Maintain records of all client communications and requirements
• Notify laboratory of special client requirements and monitor for compliance
• Ensure compliance to ISO 17025 standards are maintained
