Job summary

GriffithLaw in Franklin, TN is seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to be the calm, compassionate voice for clients during difficult moments. You will be the first impression, greet visitors, handle calls, and support attorneys and staff with daily tasks.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in client-facing roles, excellent communication skills, reliability, and a professional demeanor. This in-person position requires empathy, organization, and strong customer service, with opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a client-facing role preferred but not required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Reliability and ability to be on time, in the office, every day
• Ability to handle sensitive, emotional, or stressful conversations with empathy and composure
• Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to make clients feel welcome
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced office
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general office technology
• Previous receptionist, administrative, customer service, or law firm experience is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for all incoming phone calls by answering, screening, and directing calls promptly and professionally
• Provide exceptional customer service to current and prospective clients
• Greet all visitors with a warm, welcoming, and professional demeanor
• Notify staff of arriving clients and guests
• Offer refreshments and escort clients and visitors to conference rooms when appropriate
• Maintain a positive and professional reception area that reflects the firm's high standards
• Receive, scan, fax, and distribute incoming documents
• Prepare and send outgoing mail and packages
• Assist attorneys and administrative staff with miscellaneous office projects
• Perform general clerical duties as assigned
• Keep the reception area and conference rooms clean, organized, and client-ready throughout the day
• Maintain coffee and beverage stations
• Refill restroom supplies as needed
• Empty trash and assist with light office upkeep to ensure a welcoming environment for clients and staff
