Job summary

OpenLoop Health seeks experienced software engineers to join Forward Deployed Engineering, embedding with client teams and delivering integrations against the OpenLoop platform. You will own end-to-end delivery, advise clients and sales on scope, and continuously improve deployments with AI-enabled tooling.

You will collaborate across API design, authentication, webhooks, and data flows, while building reusable assets, checks, and reference implementations to accelerate future deployments.

Qualifications

• 5 to 15+ years of software engineering experience, including work delivering for external customers or partners.
• End-to-end ownership of complex, customer-facing technical delivery across deployments.
• Experience building developer platforms: SDKs, CLIs, API conventions and tested documentation.

Responsibilities

• Build for clients, in their codebase, against our API and stand up their integration on OpenLoop's Partner API.
• Build with AI in the loop, shipping systems that let clients build on us with AI in the loop (SDKs, reference implementations, CLI, machine-readable docs).
• Run deployments on the agent roster and improve them (gate, conformance checks, seeding, docs freshness, gap filing).
• Turn one client's needs into capabilities for all clients, contributing recipes and checks to the shared cookbook.
• Turn ambiguity into a defensible phased scope with clear what/what not.
• Hold the line and communicate what cannot be done or won't fit the timeline early.
• Raise the bar by sharing deployment learnings and improving playbooks.
