Job summary

Upperline Health is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with partner organizations and rapidly translate field needs into working software. You will handle data feeds, EMR integrations, and patient-facing interfaces while traveling to partner sites for hands-on deployments.

You will collaborate across engineering, product, and operations, balancing security, privacy, and user experience in a fast-growing value-based care environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience spanning software engineering and customer-facing delivery.
• Deep experience with data, backend, and frontend systems.
• Experience integrating with external, under-documented APIs and legacy interfaces.
• Fluency in SQL and modern data stacks; pipeline ownership.
• Strong ability to influence stakeholders and work with non-technical users.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive rapid iteration.
• Awareness of HIPAA privacy requirements in engineering.

Responsibilities

• Embed with partner organizations to understand workflows and deliver value fast.
• Build, configure, and iterate on data feeds, EMR integrations, and patient experiences.
• Collaborate across engineering, product, and customer delivery teams.
• Travel to partner sites to implement go-lives and provide hands-on training.
• Define playbooks and reusable assets for scalable deployments.
