Job summary

Columbia Bank in Salem, Oregon seeks a Teller to be the first point of contact for clients, handling transactions accurately and ethically while ensuring compliance with procedures.

With guidance from the Branch Manager, you will build client relationships, uncover needs, and refer appropriate banking products to partners. On-site role with opportunities for development and advancement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, required.
• 1 year of banking or customer service experience, preferred.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform teller transactions and cash handling with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Balance cash drawer and process night drop deposits.
• Mitigate risk by ensuring safekeeping of money in cash drawer and prompt accounting or transfer of funds.
• Interact with clients to uncover needs and offer appropriate products and services.
• Continuously deepen knowledge of Columbia Bank’s offerings and stay current on changes.
• Support referral goals by identifying and referring basic bank products to the business partner.
