Job summary

Academy Bank, N.A. seeks a motivated Personal Banker to deliver fast, personal service and build lasting relationships with clients while identifying financial needs and delivering solutions.

The role involves opening and maintaining accounts, processing transactions, and promoting bank products. You will use digital banking tools, refer products to other lines, and ensure regulatory compliance in a fast-paced team setting.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to complete work accurately.
• Ability to organize work.
• Strong sales skills.
• Basic math skills including the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as cash back and percentages.
• Proficient in basic office skills/equipment, including computer, email, ten-key calculator, copier, scanner/fax, typing, telephone, organization systems, and Microsoft Office suite of products.
• Ability to be NMLS licensed and registered.

Responsibilities

• Provides fast, easy, and personal service consistent with company client service standards, resolving problems and building relationships.
• Promotes consumer/small business banking products to clients and prospects using direct sales techniques.
• Achieves specific sales goals on a daily, monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
• Develops and maintains relationships with business partners to maximize opportunities and to earn 100% of the client’s business.
• Opens checking and savings accounts, processes client transactions, and recommends other bank products, including credit cards and loans.
• Demonstrates digital expertise through online banking, mobile apps, and other self-service channels.
• Works closely with clients and business partners to refer products and services to other lines.
• Educates clients and associates about banking services; resolves client concerns efficiently.
• Maintains regulatory compliance and protects client information.
• Under Banking Center Manager delegation, implements operations procedures and maintains cash controls.
• Keeps knowledge up-to-date on bank regulations and policies.
• Complies with mission, vision, and values; completes monthly training.
• Works at the worksite during regular business hours.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
