Job summary

Volunteers of America Anchorage is seeking a Client Care Specialist Two (CCS2) to coordinate the intake process for new and returning clients, manage referrals, collect client information, verify financial details, and schedule appointments.

You will act as the liaison between clients, programs, and the billing department, ensuring clear communication about costs of care and helping with Medicaid applications and insurance eligibility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Health information management education preferred.
• Minimum of two years’ experience with Medicaid regulations, billing, and quality assurance.
• Ability to make sound decisions based on available information.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours (including days and evenings).
• Must have valid Alaska driver’s license with good driving record.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the intake process for new and returning clients.
• Manage referrals and client access to services; track the POE process.
• Collect and verify registration documents; input data into the EHR.
• Determine insurance eligibility and benefits; initiate/assist with Medicaid applications.
• Schedule assessments and program intakes; coordinate telehealth logistics.
• Communicate with clients, guardians, referrals, and VOAAK departments to ensure alignment.
