Job summary

Hancock Whitney in Gulfport, MS is seeking a full-time Teller to deliver accurate client service, process a range of banking transactions, and promote digital banking solutions. You will build relationships, handle cash, and support branch operations within risk and compliance guidelines.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED and 6 months of cash-handling, retail, or teller experience, with preferred sales/referral background. Weekend and evening hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 6 months of cash-handling, retail, or teller experience required.
• Previous sales and referral experience strongly preferred.
• Must comply with all applicable banking laws and regulations including BSA.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate, efficient client interactions emphasizing risk mitigation and personalized engagement.
• Handle client transactions (deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, etc.).
• Respond to servicing requests with product knowledge to resolve issues quickly.
• Build and grow client relationships through in-person and outbound interactions.
• Educate clients on digital banking solutions (mobile, online, ATM).
• Refer clients to internal partners as needs are identified.
• Support branch operations, including opening/closing, vault management, balancing.
• Assist in loss prevention, overrides, and maintaining security standards.
• Uphold risk management, compliance, and professional standards.
• Actively manage lobby traffic and assist where needed.
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

Education
