Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Intake Coordinator to facilitate daytime client intakes, ensure accurate documentation, and orient new clients. The role supports staff during non-intake times and helps with administrative duties to maintain smooth operations in a behavioral health setting.

As part of the Administration team, you will audit intake documentation, coordinate with nursing and on-call staff, and ensure compliance with LDH, Medicaid, CARF, and HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; further education preferred.
• 2+ years in behavioral health, substance abuse, or medical admissions preferred; driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first contact for daytime client inquiries.
• Conduct initial screenings and gather documentation.
• Complete intake process and ensure paperwork and EHR compliance.
• Audit intake charts for completeness and accuracy.
• Provide orientation and support to clients and families during admission.
• Enter intake data into EMR promptly.
• Maintain records in EMR and ensure regulatory compliance (LDH, Medicaid, HIPAA).
• Assist with scanning, filing, and data entry; support residential staff as needed.
• Coordinate with nursing and on-call staff to ensure smooth transitions.
