Job summary

Associa seeks a Client Account Specialist to join our Palm Desert team. This accounting support role handles daily tasks in a fast-paced centralized accounting environment, delivering accurate financial statements for community associations.

You will review monthly statements, assist with AR/AP processes, and coordinate with CAMs and board members. Strong GAAP knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential. This is a full-time position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• GAAP knowledge and strong analytical ability.
• Experience with general ledger accounting.
• Strong communication skills for meetings and inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Process checks and sort/code AR income forms in office tasks.
• Review and approve monthly financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, etc.).
• Answer questions from CAMs and Board Members about statements.
• Coordinate onboarding of new clients, set up and close bank accounts, and manage signature cards.
• Oversee AP & AR corrections, bank reconciliation, journal entries and adjustments.
• Manage recurring charges such as HOA assessments, parking, and storage.
• Define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
• Attend in-person or virtual board meetings as needed.
