Job summary

Core Laboratories Inc. is seeking a Service Specialist to install and test manufactured instruments at customer sites, ensure operation and reliability, and train customers in instrument use.

The role involves significant travel, including domestic and international assignments, with responsibilities spanning installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of equipment in varied environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or an Associate Degree.
• 5+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and passport.

Responsibilities

• Install manufactured instruments at customer sites (team or solo).
• Train customers in operation of instruments.
• Collaborate with CLI Engineering on design and testing of instruments.
• Test instruments prior to shipping.
• Troubleshoot instruments in the field.
• Perform maintenance of instruments at customer locations.
• Coordinate with customers during installation, training and commissioning.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Job description

SUMMARY

Service Specialists work closely with the customer throughout the commissioning cycle. They are responsible for the installation and testing of manufactured instruments, as well as troubleshooting and maintenance of the equipment

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Is responsible for the installation of manufactured instruments at the customer’s location either individually or as a team member (20%)
• Trains customers in the operation of manufactured instruments (15%)
• Works closely with CLI Engineering in the design and testing of manufactured instruments (10%)
• Tests instruments prior to shipping to the customer (20%)
• Performs troubleshooting of manufactured instruments (15%)
• Performs maintenance of manufactured instruments at the customer’s location (10%)
• Works closely with customers throughout the installation, training and commissioning of manufactured instruments (10%)
• Other duties may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor degree (B.A. or B.S.), or an Associate Degree.
• 5+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and passport

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to assemble and disassembly hydraulic items.
• Ability to wire electrical items.
• Knowledge of how to read mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Good computer skills and ability to learn equipment-specific software and control systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
