Job summary

State of California seeks an Information Technology Associate to independently support CLETS governance, analyze usage, and develop policy guidelines in alignment with AB 1747 and FBI requirements. The role may lead or coordinate cross-agency efforts, including training and outreach to law enforcement communities.

The incumbent will prepare materials, present to the CLETS Advisory Committee, and update the California Law Enforcement Website to ensure timely access to policy and training

Qualifications

• Ability to examine information and solve problems, reason, draw valid conclusions, and develop effective solutions.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities with strict deadlines.
• Experience in the development and delivery of technical and non-technical communications, presentations, and reports.
• Ability to collaborate with all levels of staff, including upper management, with clear communication and updates.
• Knowledge and experience working in a large, complex, and customer-focused service delivery environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide staff support to governance of CLETS information and stay updated with changes to CLETS and FBI requirements.
• Formulate, analyze, and recommend policies, procedures, and standards for technology governance.
• Conduct complex analyses of CLETS usage and present recommendations to DOJ management and the CLETS Advisory Committee.
• Coordinate outreach, training, and presentations for law enforcement agencies and update the California Law Enforcement Website.
