MGM Resorts in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Clerk Deposit Groups to enhance the guest experience by managing VIP reservations, group and wholesale bookings, and maintaining accurate records. The role focuses on delivering exceptional service and coordinating with sales and convention teams.

The position starts at $22.04 per hour and requires a 21-year minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Analyze casino play and establish comp profiles for guest reservations.
• Process reservations and requests from guests, hosts, executives, Sales Department, and branch offices.
• Assist casino hosts and executives with reservations, requests for information, etc.
• Receive inbound calls in response to mailings and invitations; book Slot Tournament reservations, Direct Marketing Packages, etc.
• Liaise between reservations department and meeting planners or wholesale companies regarding group questions.
• Communicate with Convention Sales and Service Managers about room blocks for meetings.
• Coordinate with Leisure Sales regarding wholesale room blocks for tour operators.
• Monitor cutoff dates to prevent convention groups from booking at convention rates and block usage.
• Review convention booking recaps for dates, rooms and rates to ensure accuracy in the system

THE JOB

As a Clerk Deposit Groups, you are an essential part of the guest experience. Your approachable and personable demeanor, coupled with your dedication to ensuring appropriate accommodation arrangements for VIP Guest Reservations, Groups, and Wholesale bookings, will help create memorable experiences for our guests. By delivering exceptional service and maintaining accurate reservation records, you play a crucial role in elevating the overall guest experience.

THE STARTING RATE

$22.04 per hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY

• Analyzes casino play and establishes comp profiles for guest reservations.
• Processes all reservations and requests from guests, hosts, executives, Sales Department, and branch offices.
• Assists casino hosts and executives with reservations, requests for information, etc.
• Receives in-bound calls in response to various mailings and invitations. Books Slot Tournament reservations, Direct Marketing Packages, etc.
• Act as a liaison between the reservations department and meeting planners or wholesale companies regarding questions pertaining to their specific groups.
• Communicate effectively with Convention Sales and Service Managers regarding room blocks which are set aside for companies holding meetings in the hotel, including the number of rooms the group has utilized and what is remaining for them to pick up.
• Communicate effectively with Leisure Sales regarding wholesale room blocks set aside for tour operators to sell as packages.
• Monitor cutoff dates to prevent convention groups from booking at their convention rate and group blocks effectively.
• Review details of the convention booking recaps, such as group arrival and departure dates, number of rooms the group will hold and their rate to ensure all pertinent information is in the computer system.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age required
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
• Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays required
• 6+ months of prior relevant experience in Casino Marketing or VIP experience preferred
