Clemons Library at the University of Virginia is seeking a student Circulation Assistant starting in late July/early August. This part-time role can continue into the 2026-27 school year.

You will check out books, answer questions, check in and reshelve materials, and provide basic IT support for printers and desktops. Work hours are during 9am-6pm weekdays and 1pm-5pm weekends, with start at beginning of August.

Overview

Clemons Library at the University of Virginia is seeking a student Circulation Assistant starting in late July/early August. This part‑time position can continue into the 2026‑27 school year.

Responsibilities

• Check out books, videos, and equipment items to patrons.
• Answer general informational questions.
• Check in returned materials, organize them, and re‑shelve.
• Provide basic IT support for printers and desktop computers.

Scheduling

This is a part‑time position. Potential work hours are available during 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. on weekdays and 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. on weekends. Must be able to start at the beginning of August.

Physical Demands
